Claygent for B2B outbound: AI research without data trash

AI outbound sounds tempting: an agent researches target accounts, finds triggers, enriches company data and turns that into campaign lists. In practice, the agent is not what decides success. The quality of the ICP, source checks and approval process does.

Claygent can be a strong GTM tool — or a very efficient machine for expensive data trash. The difference is operational discipline: source fields, sampling, clear exclusions and a careful handoff into the CRM matter more than the next shiny prompt.

HubSpot Breeze Agents: when CRM-close AI automation actually makes sense

Last updated: June 30, 2026

HubSpot Breeze Agents can sound like yet another AI product name in an already crowded martech shelf. They become interesting not because of the “agent” label, but because of where they work: directly where contacts, deals, tickets, content, and workflows already live.

That is the real difference from many isolated chatbots. An agent next to the CRM constantly needs copied context. An agent inside the CRM can work closer to records, lifecycle stages, deals, and interaction history. Powerful, yes — if the data is clean. If not, Breeze mainly automates CRM chaos with a nicer interface. Tiny data goblin, large operational mess.

Ahrefs Brand Radar + custom AI prompt tracking: how to measure AI visibility without dashboard theatre

Last updated: June 22, 2026

AI visibility can quickly become another beautiful dashboard: enter a brand, watch curves move, compare competitors, done. Tools like Ahrefs Brand Radar and custom AI prompt tracking genuinely make the topic more practical. But that also increases the risk that teams overinterpret the numbers.

The key point: a brand appearing more often in AI answers does not automatically mean more demand, more traffic, or more revenue. AI visibility is a signal. It becomes useful only when combined with fixed prompt sets, proper versioning, and real website or business data.

AI in Google Ads accounts: what changed in the last 5 years — and what marketers should do now

Last updated: June 22, 2026

If you actively managed Google Ads five years ago, many accounts now feel like a different species. The work used to revolve more around keyword lists, manual bids, ad tests, and search term reports. Today, many decisions have moved toward Smart Bidding, Broad Match, Performance Max, automatically created assets, Consent Mode modeling, and AI Max.

This is not just another feature update. It changes the role of performance marketers. The job is less about manually turning every lever and more about feeding a learning system with good signals, good boundaries, and good reviews.

Google Ads AI Max for Search campaigns: opportunities, risks, and a practical test checklist

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Google Ads Search used to feel like the controlled part of paid media: choose keywords, write ads, select landing pages, review search terms, adjust bids. With AI Max for Search campaigns, Google is pushing that model further toward AI-powered matching, asset optimization, and landing page selection.

That is not automatically bad. For many accounts, AI Max can find additional relevant queries, adapt ad copy more closely to intent, and use pages that a traditional keyword setup would never have covered properly. But it is not a magic performance drawer either. If your conversion data is messy, your landing pages are vague, or nobody reviews search terms, AI Max will not create fewer problems. It will create faster problems.

Why an AI tool is not yet AI transformation

Last updated: 11 June 2026

Many companies are rolling out copilots, chatbots, or first-generation AI agents and expecting immediate productivity gains. In practice, the impact often stays smaller than hoped. The reason is rarely just technical. More often, the company has not answered the more important questions: Which work actually changes? Who remains accountable? And how do you create enough trust to turn experimentation into real adoption?

That is where the difference between a new tool and real transformation begins. Dropping an AI system into daily work is easy. Rebuilding work, approvals, roles, and decision paths around it is the real job.

Most teams need a teaser for attention, several variants for paid social, and often a clip that makes the product understandable within seconds. That is where the tool question becomes practical.

What matters is not which AI video tool gets the most hype, but which tool fits which launch moment. A cinematic teaser needs something different from UGC-style paid ads, and a SaaS product demo needs something different from a DTC social creative.

Last updated on June 8, 2026, 9:21 PM

Google Alerts is easy to set up. Add a brand name, a competitor, maybe your own name, and a few minutes later the first alerts start landing in your inbox. For simple web mentions, that can still be good enough.

The more practical reason is this: for simple web notifications, Google Alerts can still be enough. But as soon as you want cleaner brand monitoring, social listening, content research, or SEO signals, its limits show up quickly.

Last updated on June 24, 2026, 10:45 AM

With agent systems, the model question is usually the boring part. The interesting part starts later: what happens after two weeks of real use? Does your gateway still run? Do cron jobs stay reliable? Is memory understandable? And above all: does one routine update knock half the setup sideways again?

That is exactly where OpenClaw and Hermes Agent start to diverge in meaningful ways. OpenClaw tends to look more attractive when agents are supposed to live inside Telegram, voice, and multiple communication channels. Hermes Agent tends to look stronger when the exciting building phase is supposed to turn into dry, inspectable daily operations.

Very few people are telling you which one, for what, or why the category even matters.

That is why the space feels noisy. A lot of people try a built-in agent mode in a chat app, don’t see much magic, and assume the whole category is overhyped. Others look at the stronger tools, decide they are too much, and do nothing at all.

Mostly it’s the setup: too many rules in the wrong place, automation too early, unclean roles between files and a memory that is more of a data dump than knowledge. That’s exactly where you burn time, tokens and nerves.

This feels like “model got dumber”, but it is often a different error: Capability drift due to an incorrect tool profile.

We had exactly this practical case in the OpenClaw setup: With
tools.profile: messaging
only messaging/sessions were available - but no
exec
, no file system, no browser automation. Result: The agent plans properly, but can no longer carry out its own steps.

The missing layer between LLM and real execution

A lot of people talk about “agentic AI,” but hardly anyone explains the difference between a model and a harness properly. That is exactly where false expectations start: a strong model alone does not give you a stable workflow — and an impressive agent stack is not worth much if updates or backups keep blowing up old parts of your setup.

This is rarely due to “bad models” and almost always due to the memory and context setup. Many teams dump too much raw text into each turn, without clean retrieval, without hard limits and without condensation. This costs tokens, degrades signal-to-noise and makes automations unstable.

After understanding the Agentic AI hype, the next practical question is simple: where should OpenClaw run if you want stable workflows without unnecessary risk?

This decision has bigger impact than model choice in the early phase. If runtime boundaries are unclear, every future automation inherits that instability.

In this article

when an old computer is the smartest starting point,

when a VPS makes more sense,

which security baseline you should set from day one,

and why OpenClaw feels closer to an operating layer than a chat window.

1) First architecture decision: where does OpenClaw run?

Before selecting model stacks, define your runtime environment:

Agentic AI is one of the loudest buzzwords in marketing tech right now. The core idea is genuinely interesting: not just chatting with an AI assistant, but letting it execute complete task chains across tools, files, and workflows.

But there is still a big gap between a cool demo and stable daily operations. That is exactly where OpenClaw deserves a realistic review.

In this article

what OpenClaw is already very good at,

why onboarding is still hard for non-technical users,

where the real security risks start,

who can benefit from OpenClaw today,

and what to expect from deeper practical implementation guides.

1) What OpenClaw already does very well

OpenClaw is strong because it does not stop at text output.

Last updated on June 24, 2026, 10:27 AM

AI video is no longer just a playground for strange demo clips. For marketing teams, founders and agencies, the useful question is more practical: which AI video generators can help with product launches, social ads, teaser videos and demo variants without turning the workflow into chaos?

The answer depends on the job. A cinematic brand teaser, a product explainer, a short paid-social variant and an internal storyboard need different levels of control. One “best AI video generator” does not exist. A usable 2026 video stack starts with the format you need to ship.

A few months later, half the recommendations are already hype leftovers, novelty demos, or tools that look exciting but do not create a usable workflow for a small team.

That is why the better question in 2026 is no longer which 50 AI tools exist right now? The better question is: which 4 to 6 tools actually help a small team with content, visibility, ads, and automation without creating a second system of chaos?

What to consider when migrating a website

Last updated on January 14, 2023, 10:52 PM

5 quick tips on what to consider when migrating your website

If you’re thinking of migrating your website, there are some important factors you should consider to make sure the process goes smoothly and your website continues to work well after the migration. Here are some tips you should keep in mind:

Create a backup. Secure your website: Before migrating, you should make sure that you have a full backup of your website, including all files and databases. This will give you the ability to fall back on a backup in case of problems during the migration. Usually it is standard procedure to have a backup of your website not older than a week, but still worth mentioning it.

Check compatibility: Make sure that all plugins and themes you use on your website are compatible with the new platform. When you migrate to a new platform, some of your plugins or themes might not work anymore. This applies mostly to a WordPress or Typo3 Migration. If you switch to different CMS, there are a myriad of other things to consider to transfer the full functionality of your website to another CMS.

Change DNS settings: If you are migrating your website to a new domain name or server, you may need to change your domain’s DNS settings. Make sure you make these changes in time so that your website will still be accessible after the migration.

Test the migration: After you migrate your site, you should test it thoroughly to ensure that all features continue to work properly. This includes testing links, forms and other important functions. Ideally the migration happens first to a staging environment and is tested thoroughly there before pushing it to the live environment.

Notify your visitors: When you migrate your site, you should notify your visitors so they know that there may be brief outages or delays. You should also leave a message on your old site so your visitors know where to find your new site.

Of course it’s always a bit subjective, but since I’ve been experimenting with WordPress Hosting for more than 12 years now and have already tried at least 10 hosts, I have to say that I have found the best price/performance ratio at Mittwald and have been extremely satisfied there for several years.

But what actually makes Mittwald special:

Mittwald* is a hosting provider that offers CMS hosting services.

Last updated on February 13, 2023, 10:18 PM

Migrating to a new customer relationship management (CRM) system can be a daunting task, but it can also bring numerous benefits to your business. A well-planned and executed CRM migration can improve efficiency, increase productivity, and provide a better overall customer experience. And one more Tip, which I think is super useful to get a feeling how big of a lift it will be to migrate your CRM. Try to export one contact with all fields and try to import it immediately to the new CRM and check what is lining up in terms of fields which can be merged. Right there you will get a good grasp what lies ahead of you :)

I would see the term Marketing Automation rather as an overall concept how to automate processes / tasks / procedures, so that time and money can be saved in the company. Besides, quite boring tasks can be reduced and copy & paste errors can be avoided. For automation there are of course countless tools that help, so the term is probably mostly equated 1:1 with tools. One of these tools is Zapier, for which I have outlined some examples of marketing automation in this blog post.

The same has happened for sales. Digitization is advancing and resourceful providers have thought about how to map the entire sales process nicely and effectively digitally and also automate as many steps as possible.

The eternal battle between departments. How marketing and sales departments always get in each other’s way and possible solutions.

Processes & data flows

Depending on the size of the company, the pressure on your own department increases. In very small companies and start-ups, the same people usually do part marketing and part sales. But as professionalization takes hold and the company grows, tasks have to be redistributed. New teams are created and later new departments and processes and data flows between the teams/departments should also be set up and recorded.

Marketing Automation with Zapier: Zaps, AI Agents and Safe Workflows

Zapier used to be the fast glue between forms, CRM systems, Slack, Google Sheets and newsletter tools. A trigger starts an action, data moves somewhere else, and manual copy-and-paste work disappears. That is still useful — but in 2026 Zapier is no longer only about building small Zaps.

With Zapier Agents, Zapier is moving closer to AI-supported marketing operations. Agents can work with live business data, use apps, review leads, prepare CRM updates or start reports. That makes the old “build a Zap and forget it” approach risky. Once a system does not only copy data but also evaluates or writes it, you need approvals, test data, audit logs and clear limits.

Since Facebook of course cooks its own soup, Google Analytics must also be connected correctly here to make the data more comparable. The goal of the whole exercise is to get exact numbers for each conversion in performance marketing in order to be able to optimize the campaigns accordingly.

Last updated on July 31, 2021, 2:25 PM

A small but very useful tip: You can also use Google Analytics Alerts to check whether the website/web server is down. This is very easy because Google Analytics has an integrated alarm function that you can configure and then receive an email notification when certain conditions apply.

Google Analytics Alerts – Notification via email when there is a drop in traffic or 0 users on the website

The easiest way to implement the rule for the alert is to define something like a drop in access as a condition: traffic drop of >80% or even 0 users on the website in a certain period of time, such as the last day.

Last updated on November 13, 2018, 10:26 AM

Many websites now use chat bots for customer support. A very common chatbot that can be easily integrated into WordPress websites is Drift Chat. But once the chat is installed, it would of course also be nice to have seamless tracking. So in order to track user interactions, such as “opening the chat”, “sending the email address”, or “ending the chat”, the Google Tag Manager comes into play again. If you’re wondering why the hell you should track this at all, an example would be: In order to be able to use the entry of a user email address for later contact in Drift Chat as a conversion in Google Analytics. Subsequently, the Google Ads can be optimized for this conversion = in a certain way again Growth Hacking :)

The ride-hailing service, which is in conflict with the entire taxi industry in many countries, is a true revelation for economists. With the reams of data UBER generates every day, economists can make their wildest free market research fantasies come true.

The well-known economist John List had a very bad UBER ride to a conference and then thought to himself - “Why didn’t the driver or the ride service apologize for it?” This gave him the idea of taking a closer look at this topic, the “science of apologies”, i.e. the science of apologies. In another excellent episode of the freakonomics podcast -> “how to optimize your apology” this is discussed in more detail and I also noticed that this topic is also an immense growth hack at UBER, which is already being used at many other companies.

Last updated on January 8, 2019, 3:07 PM

How much of my site does a user actually view? Online marketers and website maintainers ask themselves this question quite often and the “scroll depth” metric provides answers. Measuring the scroll depth can provide interesting insights, especially for longer one-pager (start) pages or long text pages. When it comes to a branding goal in content marketing, scroll depth can be determined as an important KPI. Publishers and bloggers should take a closer look at this metric to get useful conclusions about the success of their content.

A conversion is a specific action that a user should perform on our website. This can be, for example, signing up for a newsletter, contacting us via a form, clicking on a phone number, or making a purchase in an online store. As savvy online marketers, we naturally want to measure these conversions and then evaluate the data in order to optimize our campaigns. A well-functioning conversion tracking is also essential for growth hacking.

Last updated on June 17, 2026, 10:45 AM

Marketing tool lists age badly. A tool that looked essential five years ago can become noisy, overpriced or simply irrelevant. The useful question is not “Which tools exist?” but “Which tool helps me make a better decision this week?”

This updated list is therefore built around jobs, not around hype. The core stack for most teams starts with three clusters: monitoring with tools such as Brand24, research with tools such as AnswerThePublic, and email with tools such as AWeber. Add content, analytics and workflow tools only when they support a clear recurring decision.

Last updated on June 24, 2026, 10:00 AM

Is WeChat social media? Yes, but that answer is incomplete. WeChat started in 2011 as Weixin, a messenger from Tencent, then became a social network, wallet, service platform, mini-app ecosystem, video feed, commerce layer and search surface. Calling it “Chinese WhatsApp” is now almost charmingly wrong: WeChat is one of the clearest examples of how differently mobile marketing can work when one app becomes infrastructure rather than just a communication channel.

Described as “copycats” a few years ago, Chinese tech companies have been overtaking their Western competitors in terms of innovation leadership and technological advances for some time now.

Things are also happening quickly on the Internet. A platform called WeChat has particularly stood out in the social media sector. Due to the state-imposed isolation of Chinese society from many large Internet platforms in the Western world (Facebook, Google, YouTube, …), interesting counter-proposals have developed, some of which have already far surpassed the large Western models.

Of course, this has been around for a long time, but what I find strange is that there is still no real professionalization and development of products.

Barcamp Graz 2016 - Blogger camp

Last updated on April 18, 2016, 7:56 AM

From April 22nd to April 24th there will be a big Barcamp in Graz at the FH Joanneum that you shouldn’t miss. For everyone who has never been to a Barcamp, I thought I would write a little explanation about it:

What is a Barcamp?

Barcamps describe themselves as an “ad-hoc non-conference”. The exciting thing about it is that you submit topics in advance and the “conference” program is created the morning before the start, practically on the fly, depending on demand for the topic. You basically vote on which topics would be most interesting for the majority and then the rooms are allocated for these sessions, which usually last 45 minutes. Barcamps are actually always free (as far as I know) and are a great way to get to know people who are interested in the same topics as you.

Since I really appreciate the Waltz Kings and they always have some good advice, I thought why write it myself when they already work everything out so beautifully in their social media guide.

Basically, almost everything in this social media guide, part 1 for Facebook, can be applied to companies of all kinds, even if it is a guide for musicians/bands. It’s about reach, relevance, frequency, tools, do’s & don’ts.

Push to Pull - Southpark and Sponsored Content

From push to pull advertising

As is often the case in the media landscape, Southpark shows current developments and trends in a satirical way. But that’s precisely why this series is one of the great ones for me. Even if you can’t always be up to date with what’s going on on the other side of the pond, Southpark reflects developments in American society very nicely.

In the episode “Sponsored Content” (seen here for free and without commercial breaks or ads :)

cinemagraph - The new hype about short moving images

Last updated on April 13, 2016, 8:51 AM

The cinemagraph hype is slowly making its way into Austria. If you’re now wondering what a cinemagraph is supposed to be, here’s the answer.

I think “cinemagraph is a product of still photo with minor elements moving on” is almost the most beautiful description.

A photo with small elements / sections that continue to move (i.e. are video elements). The whole thing can be distributed particularly well as a GIF, i.e. actually as an image file. But cinemagraphs also often appear as video files. Cinemagraphs have been around for several years, especially on the tumblr platform, and I think this is where most users became aware of this special form of GIF.

Tourism offers with micro storytelling

And with an interesting form of display that is somewhat reminiscent of Pinterest, they bring a wide variety of offers into a nice form with endless scroll. I would almost describe it as mini / micro storytelling as they present background information about the individual offers and try to arouse the user’s interest with the large headline.

To drift off topic for a moment, the app is called Narando and is practically a “reading” app / podcast app that reads pre-recorded articles or simply plays an audio file. Highly recommended, especially for running or walking.

Journalism in transition

The series of articles, originally started by the Oliver Schrott Communication Agency, is about determining the future of journalism. To this end, 8 questions were formulated which were asked of leading figures in the German media industry in an interview. There are illustrious personalities such as: Christoph Amend (41), editor-in-chief of the ZEITmagazin in issue #9, Sebastian Matthes, editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Germany in issue #11, or Juliane Leopold from BuzzFeed in issue #7

Last updated on January 1, 2016, 1:28 PM

I am a big fan of online courses because they impart knowledge in a compact form at a university quality level. The icing on the cake is that these courses are usually free. You’ve already heard a lot, but you always discover something new.

The list of free online courses is constantly growing, so it’s worth checking back here from time to time if you’re interested in this topic.
